Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Knights vs. Franklin Wildcats

The Northwest Knights will face off against the Franklin Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Saturday, Northwest strolled past Wilmington with points to spare, taking the game 67-50. That 17 point margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

Meanwhile, Franklin had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 65-49 victory over Talawanda. The Wildcats pushed the score to 57-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Brave cut but never quite recovered from.

The win made it two in a row for Northwest and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points over those games. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
