Baseball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ryan Bouchard and Evan Sallila Lead St. Bernard's Central Catholic to Victory

St. Bernard's Central Catholic hadn't done well against Worcester Tech recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bernardians never let the Eagles get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Bernardians were shut out 9-0 the last time they took on the Eagles, so the Bernardians were just returning the favor.

St. Bernard's Central Catholic let Evan Sallila and Ryan Bouchard run wild. Sallila went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run, while Bouchard went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave Bouchard a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Pelissier, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

St. Bernard's Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Worcester Tech, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Coming up, St. Bernard's Central Catholic will challenge Southbridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Worcester Tech, they will face off against Advanced Math & Science Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
