Basketball Recap: Mifflinburg Comes Up Short

Mifflinburg lost against Mifflin County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats took a hard 79-60 fall against the Huskies. The Wildcats were down 59-37 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Jack Curry went supernova For Mifflin County., shooting 69% from the field on his way to 23 points and four steals. Curry has also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Luke Bender was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Mifflinburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mifflin County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Mifflinburg has already played their next game, a 70-45 win against Danville on the 8th. As for Mifflin County, they will face off against Milton Hershey at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup will give the Huskies their first taste of in-conference action this season.
