Oakland strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They really took it to the LaVergne Wolverines for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-0 win. Considering the Patriots have won seven games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Oakland, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Chevy Armour, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Oakland's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for LaVergne, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Oakland is set to challenge their familiar foe Stewarts Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, LaVergne will take on rival Smyrna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
