Soccer Game Preview: Big Bear vs. Lucerne Valley

Big Bear is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Lucerne Valley is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bears will welcome the Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Big Bear barely beat Academy of Careers & Exploration the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears' defense stepped up to hand the Eagle a 5-0 shutout on Friday. Give Big Bear's defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Academy of Careers & Exploration from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Meanwhile, Lucerne Valley won against PAL Academy on Friday with nine goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Wednesday. The Mustangs blew past Lakeview Leadership Academy 9-0.

Big Bear's victory bumped their record up to 9-4-3. As for Lucerne Valley, their win bumped their record up to 10-2-2.
