Basketball Game Preview: North Hall Trojans vs. Flowery Branch Falcons

North Hall and Flowery Branch are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the North Hall Trojans will jump right back in to play the Flowery Branch Falcons at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While North Hall didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Chestatee with a sharp 78-54 win on Friday. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the War Eagles are ranked 450th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Flowery Branch came into Friday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-48 victory over West Hall on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since January 30th.

North Hall's record is now 6-4. As for Flowery Branch, their record now sits at 6-9.

North Hall didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Flowery Branch in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with an 86-80 victory. Does North Hall have another victory up their sleeve, or will Flowery Branch turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
