Swampscott and Gloucester are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2018, but likely not for long. The Big Blue will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fishermen at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Swampscott will be strutting in after a victory while Gloucester will be coming in after a defeat.

Swampscott was handed a four-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They skirted past Peabody Veterans Memorial 2-1.

Meanwhile, Gloucester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to Marblehead. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Gloucester's loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Swampscott, the win got them back to even at 4-4-2.

Everything went Swampscott's way against Gloucester in their previous meeting back in September, as Swampscott made off with a 4-1 victory. Do the Big Blue have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fishermen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
