Volleyball Recap: Sibley East Takes a Loss

Sibley East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Concordia Academy Beacons.

Concordia Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addie Pickett, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Pickett has posted over her last nine matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Evelyn Brown, who had three digs and two aces.

Sibley East's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Concordia Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12-1.

Looking ahead, Sibley East will be playing in front of their home fans against Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Clippers will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight. As for Concordia Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Forest Lake on the 11th.
