Baseball Game Recap: Leman Manhattan Prep Bull vs. Berkeley Carroll Lions

Leman Manhattan Prep had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 2-3 to make it seven. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-1 to the Berkeley Carroll Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. If the Bull were looking for revenge after losing 8-1 to the Lions when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nick Shange was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Berkeley Carroll's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the game before.

On Berkeley Carroll's side, Toby Harris and Leland Daniels- Werks made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Harris pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Daniels- Werks tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Harris went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs, while Daniels- Werks went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Berkeley Carroll got a massive performance out of Sammy Cooper, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Carson Kassabian was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
