Soccer Game Preview: Bishop Manogue vs. Galena

The Bishop Manogue Miners will square off against the Galena Grizzlies at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Manogue is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Bishop Manogue's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They blew past Douglas 8-0. Bishop Manogue might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Douglas from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Joley Luke led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Galena was able to grind out a solid win over Carson on Saturday, taking the game 3-1. The victory continues a trend for Galena in their matchups with Carson: they've now won four in a row.

Bishop Manogue's win bumped their record up to 9-2-1. As for Galena, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3-1.

Bishop Manogue beat Galena by a goal in their previous matchup back in September, winning 2-1. Will the Miners repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
