Baseball Game Preview: Foothill Tech Dragons vs. Milken Wildcats

The Foothill Tech Dragons will venture away from home to face off against the Milken Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Foothill Tech is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Foothill Tech didn't have quite enough to beat Pacifica and fell 3-2.

Davin Arth was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Milken can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They skirted past Canyon 2-1.

Aidan Pereg tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has become a key player for Milken: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Milken saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jared Dunn, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Foothill Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Milken, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Everything went Foothill Tech's way against Milken in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, as Foothill Tech made off with a 13-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foothill Tech since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
