Softball Recap: Tri-Township Takes a Loss

Tri-Township fell victim to Morgan Township and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 11-0 to the Cherokees. The loss leaves the Tigers still looking for their first win of the season.

Tri-Township saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kirstyn Dailey, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Dailey has hit this season.

Tri-Township's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Morgan Township, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-Township will head out to square off against Westville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Morgan Township, they will venture away from home to take on Calumet Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
