            Volleyball Recap: Highlands Highlanders vs. Andrews Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Highlands was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Andrews Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-2  on Tuesday.
 Highlands took Andrews into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 24-26, 22-25, 25-21,  15-11.
 Andrews' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Chanteah Rattler, who  had 23  digs, 16  kills,  and seven  aces. Rattler is  crushing it when it comes to  aces: she's   served at least two every time she's  taken the court this season.  Kaiya Ellis was another key player,  getting 13  digs and two  aces.
Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Andrews, their win  ended  a  four-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 3-1.
 Highlands has  already played their next  matchup (against Murphy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Andrews, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  3-1  victory against Rosman on the 26th.
