Volleyball Recap: Lake Station Edison Comes Up Short

Lake Station Edison lost against North White back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Fighting Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Emma Jacobsma, who had eight aces and three assists. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high. Mandy Cook was another key player, getting five aces.

Lake Station Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North White, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Lake Station Edison will challenge East Chicago Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North White, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge North Judson-San Pierre at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
