While Gonzales put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for San Antonio Memorial. The Apaches were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Minutemen. Considering the Apaches have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Dixie Rea Lester made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Alaina Valle was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played.
