Soccer Game Preview: Hamilton vs. Perry

The Hamilton Huskies will head out on the road to square off against the Perry Pumas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hamilton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Hamilton sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Browne. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Bruins are ranked 52nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Perry kept a clean sheet against Browne on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Bruins. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pumas.

Their offense was hitting Browne from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Hamilton has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those 11 games. As for Perry, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Hamilton might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Perry when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Hamilton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
