Football Recap: St. Stephens Finds Playoff Glory Versus Mount Tabor

With a playoff win on the line, St. Stephens rose to the challenge on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 24-23 photo finish over the Mount Tabor Spartans.

Despite the loss, Mount Tabor had strong showings from Jock Hunder, who rushed for 111 yards and one score, and Jayden Muhfooth Smith, who gained 138 total yards.

St. Stephens has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.8 points over those games. As for Mount Tabor, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

As of now, neither St. Stephens nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
