Baseball Recap: Amador Valley Comes Up Short

Amador Valley fell victim to Alhambra and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. The Dons just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Tyler Cannon was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk).

Amador Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Alhambra, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amador Valley will take on Rancho Mirage in a tournament on Thursday. As for Alhambra, they will be taking part in a tournament against California at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
