Basketball Recap: Plaquemine Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Plaquemine, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They snuck past the Assumption Mustangs with a 32-28 win on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-37 back in December of 2024.

Plaquemine's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Assumption, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Plaquemine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-23 win against Scotlandville on the 6th. As for Assumption, they will square off against St. James at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
