Basketball Game Preview: Midwood Hornets vs. Bushwick Tigers

The Midwood Hornets will face off against the Bushwick Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Midwood is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Van Arsdale with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 74-56. The victory was familiar territory for the Hornets who have now won three contests in a row.

Meanwhile, Bushwick was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 62-57 to Brooklyn Law & Tech. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Bushwick's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Midwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.
