Softball Recap: Wilton Warriors vs. Ludlowe Falcons
If Wilton was riding high fresh off their 13-0 takedown of McMahon on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Ludlowe Falcons by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.
Wilton got a good showing from Ruby Prior, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Prior has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Wilton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley McMahon, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Wilton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Ludlowe, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-1 record this season.
