Live Oak came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Gilroy Mustangs 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Acorns, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Live Oak's got stronger as the match went on, holding Gilroy to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-17.

Live Oak pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Gilroy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
