Lumpkin County won the last time they faced Dunwoody, and Nolan Matthews did his part to make sure it happened again. The Indians walked away with a 32-24 victory over the Wildcats on Friday with plenty of help from Matthews, who rushed for 158 yards and four touchdowns, and also picked up 96 receiving yards and one score. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 121 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Dunwoody's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Irastorza, who rushed for 100 yards and one TD on only seven carries. Jaden Gabriel also helped out with an impressive 88 receiving yards.

Lumpkin County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Dunwoody, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Lumpkin County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 37-35 loss against Greater Atlanta Christian on the 12th. As for Dunwoody, they have also already played their next game, a 41-14 win against Tri-Cities on the 12th.
