Football Recap: Seneca Valley Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road + How To Watch

The third road matchup was the charm for Seneca Valley, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They came out on top against the Moon Area Tigers by a score of 31-23 on Friday. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 42-13 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Seneca Valley found their leader in sophomore Brody Horn, who threw for 159 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 62 yards.

Seneca Valley didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Moon Area to a completion percentage of just 33.3%. Given Horn's standout performance, it's clear the Tigers' secondary just wasn't on the same level.

Despite the loss, Moon Area still got an impressive performance from Andrew Cross, who rushed for 71 yards, and also threw for 53 yards and one TD.

Seneca Valley's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Moon Area, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seneca Valley will host Mt. Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Moon Area, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethel Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
