Basketball Recap: Llano Skates Past Florence with Ease

Llano waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Florence Buffaloes 44-16. That 28 point margin sets a new team best for the Yellowjackets this season.

Llano's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Machuga, who posted ten points. The dominant performance gave Machuga a new career-high in points. Hailey Lucas was another key player, putting up eight points.

Llano's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for Florence, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Llano will welcome Comfort at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Florence, they will host Blanco at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
