Basketball Recap: Northeast Jones Takes a Loss

Northeast Jones was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 34-22 to the Mendenhall Tigers. While losing is never fun, Northeast Jones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Mendenhall is ranked 125th).

Northeast Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Mendenhall, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Northeast Jones Tigers face off against the Quitman Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mendenhall, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Magee at 5:30 p.m.
