Baseball Game Preview: Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs vs. Harmony Longhorns

The Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs will square off against the Harmony Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Mount Dora Christian Academy: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Harmony has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.

Mount Dora Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Trinity Christian Academy 16-1 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have beaten the Eagles the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Ethan Priest tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Mount Dora Christian Academy is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-6 otherwise.

At the plate, Jacob Calton was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Beckham Stirling was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Mount Dora Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Mount Dora Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Harmony, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
