Basketball Recap: Southern Lee Comes Up Short

After soaring to 55 points the game before, Southern Lee was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They took a blow against the Pinecrest Patriots, falling 64-25. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 396th, while the Patriots are ranked 161st).

Southern Lee dropped their record down to 5-16 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Pinecrest, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Southern Lee nor Pinecrest have any future games scheduled.
