Division I Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Chris Ciarniello Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Starting off the list is North Kingstown's Chris Ciarniello, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Ciarniello made eight total tackles, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Ciarniello's next matchup is against Barrington on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort. The Skippers got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Eagles, probably because Ciarniello had a solid game then too: he made ten total tackles and snagged an interception. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Bishop Hendricken Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Jeremy Seidi

Jeremy Seidi's big game helped extend Bishop Hendricken's winning streak to three on Friday. Seidi turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up a sack and making five total tackles. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.

For the year, Seidi has averaged 4.1 total tackles per game and for the season has 4 sacks. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 1.43 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 61.29 rushing yards.
