Lumberton and Resurrection Catholic are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Panthers will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Lumberton fell victim to Salem and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 12-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Resurrection Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 21-0 to Salem.

Resurrection Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Lumberton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-1 record this season.

Lumberton took their win against Resurrection Catholic when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
