Livermore and Foothill are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Cowboys will challenge the Falcons at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (Livermore 4, Foothill 3.4) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
On Thursday, Livermore didn't have quite enough to beat California and fell  3-2.
 Reese Boswell was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she  pitched six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   six  hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk any time she's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side, Livermore saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Laine Macosky, who  went 2-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI.  Eliza Gerochi also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
Meanwhile,  Foothill unfortunately witnessed the end of their  three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of San Ramon Valley by a score of  3-2. Having soared to a lofty 11  runs in the game before, the Falcons couldn't push the score so high this time.
  Kaycie Burdick made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  double.
 Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for Livermore, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record  this season.
Tuesday's   match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Livermore hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Foothill struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .369. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Livermore skirted past Foothill  5-3 in their previous meeting  back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
