Southern Nash has gone 7-2 against Roanoke Rapids recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Southern Nash will venture away from home to take on Roanoke Rapids at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Southern Nash comes in on 12 and Roanoke Rapids on three.

Roanoke Rapids' hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Southern Nash hadn't allowed a single run the last ten times they've hit the field. Southern Nash never let Nash Central get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Thursday. The matchup marked the Firebirds' most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Roanoke Rapids made easy work of Franklinton on Thursday and carried off a 6-0 win. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Lydia Carroll was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Makenna Whitley also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Roanoke Rapids was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in eight consecutive contests.

Southern Nash's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Roanoke Rapids, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Southern Nash was able to grind out a solid win over Roanoke Rapids when the teams last played on March 6th, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southern Nash since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
