Sacred Heart was handed a heart-breaking two-run  defeat in their last  contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Oak Hill  on Monday. The Trojans put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp  12-4 win. Considering the Trojans have won 11 games by more than six  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Amelia Fontenot made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits. Fontenot was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  doubles and two  RBI. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Jolie Vidrine was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aubree Guillory, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Sacred Heart was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .310 or higher in four consecutive  matchups.
Sacred Heart has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Oak Hill,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 10-13.
 Coming up, Sacred Heart is taking a road trip to  take on Holy Savior Menard  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Oak Hill, they will welcome Simpson  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
