Football Recap: Lompoc Falls Short of Central Valley Christian in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lompoc can now relate to. They lost 37-13 to the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 33 points in the game before, the Braves couldn't push the score so high this time.

Trevor Thompson threw for 28 yards on three of ten attempts. On the ground, Parker House rushed for 68 yards and one touchdown.

Central Valley Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Asher Piepgrass, who threw for 179 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes. The dominant performance also gave Piepgrass a new career-high in passer rating (141.4). Ja'Khari Burrell was in the mix too, providing Central Valley Christian with two scores.

Lompoc is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5. As for Central Valley Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-6.

Lompoc does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Valley Christian, they will square off against Bakersfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Drillers' defense has only allowed 8.3 points per game this season, so the Cavaliers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
