"I had taken my official visits to Alabama and Auburn, and going into this past weekend's trip to LSU, Auburn was leading," Alexander told the
Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
"But I went to LSU and it just clicked for me. It was one of those things that I just knew when I left from Louisiana on Sunday evening. It was the atmosphere, the coaches, and everything. There was nothing negative about LSU, It was all positive."
Alexander is one of several top recruits for Class AA powerhouse
Buford (Ga.), which is ranked No. 13 in this week's
Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. Teammate
Reid Ferguson, also an offensive lineman, committed to LSU in July while linebacker
Dillon Lee has been committed to Alabama since May.
LSU's recruiting class was previously ranked No. 12 in the team recruiting rankings. Alexander joins a group that features
Trey Granier,
Avery Johnson and
Patrick Miller.
