Basketball Game Preview: Blooming Grove Lions vs. Keene Chargers

The Blooming Grove Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Keene Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Blooming Grove took a blow against Palmer, falling 74-25. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Keene had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-44 victory over the Trojans.

Blooming Grove now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Keene, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.

Blooming Grove didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Keene when the teams last played back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blooming Grove since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
