Baseball Game Preview: Aloha Warriors vs. Century Jaguars

The Aloha Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Century Jaguars at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Aloha will be strutting in after a victory while Century will be coming in after a defeat.

Aloha's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Ida B. Wells as Aloha made off with an 8-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Jayden Nakamura and David Hoskins were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Nakamura pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Hoskins pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Nakamura scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Hoskins scored a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Saul Corpus, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jordan Sherwood, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Century didn't have quite enough to beat North Medford on Monday and fell 3-1.

Century saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damien Elizarraras, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Aloha's record is now 2-0. As for Century, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Aloha might still be hurting after the 12-5 defeat they got from Century in their previous meeting back in May of 2019. Can Aloha avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
