Baseball Recap: Waverly Takes a Loss

Waverly was the 5-1 winner over Northwest when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Mohawks by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Northwest, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

While Waverly had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
