After a string of four wins, Incarnate Word's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the TMI-Episcopal Panthers. The Shamrocks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Incarnate Word was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-17.

Kenady Murray paced Incarnate Word's offense, picking up nine kills. Murray got some help from Lorena Gomez and her 28 assists.

Incarnate Word's loss dropped their record down to 13-18. As for TMI-Episcopal, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Incarnate Word and TMI-Episcopal could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Shamrocks will square off against San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool at 6:15 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (448 vs. 192). Meanwhile, TMI-Episcopal (ranked 433rd) will meet St. Michael's (ranked 210th) at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
