Softball Preview: Pacific Grove Breakers vs. Gonzales Spartans

Last Monday, Pacific Grove made easy work of Monte Vista Christian and carried off a 7-1 victory. The win was just what Pacific Grove needed coming off of an 11-3 defeat in their prior matchup.

Alex Giammanco made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Giammanco was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and a double.

In other batting news, Pacific Grove let Isis Turner and Jasmine Booker loose on the outfield. Turner went 2-for-3 with four RBI and a run, while Booker scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
