Basketball Recap: Coral Academy of Science - Reno Falcons vs. Battle Mountain Longhorns        
        
		
            
 Even though the Coral Academy of Science - Reno Falcons have not done well against the Battle Mountain Longhorns recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way  on Saturday. Coral Academy of Science - Reno secured a  35-30 W over the Longhorns. The  win made it back-to-back wins for Coral Academy of Science - Reno.
 Coral Academy of Science - Reno was led to victory by  Ashleen Kaur and  Kailyn Damasco.  Kaur  scored nine points along with seven  steals, while  Damasco  scored eight points along with ten  rebounds and four  steals. Kaur hasn't dropped below four  steals for four straight games.
 Battle Mountain's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jenna Chopp, who  scored  no points along with eight  blocks and seven  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lindsey Bleak, who  scored four points along with two  steals.
 Coral Academy of Science - Reno has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. As for Battle Mountain, they are  on a four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 13-10.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coral Academy of Science - Reno's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Bighorns at 6:00  p.m.  on January 31st. Oasis Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses. As for Battle Mountain, they and the Wolverines will face off  at 3:00  p.m.  on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in Nevada (West Wendover is ranked 54th, while the Longhorns are ranked 67th).
