Recap: Salmon Savages vs. Sugar-Salem Diggers

Sadly, Salmon is still looking for their first win of the season after four matches. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 23-2 walloping at the hands of the Sugar-Salem Diggers on Tuesday.

For Sugar-Salem's part, Kambry Bartholick and Ashlyn Harris were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Bartholick struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Harris tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (she also didn't allow any walks). At the plate, Bartholick scored two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances, while Harris scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Callie Dayton was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and a stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Aspynn Bradshaw, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5.
