Preview: Harrison Raiders vs. Plainfield Quakers

After each having a week off, The Harrison Raiders and the Plainfield Quakers will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Harrison is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Last Thursday, Harrison was fully in charge, breezing past Richmond 42-6 on the road. The result was nothing new for Harrison, who have now won six matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Harrison haved a senior duo take command as Cailix Dillon threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns on only six passes and Carter Knoy rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.

Meanwhile, Plainfield came up short against Martinsville on Friday and fell 13-6. It was the first time this season that Plainfield let down their fans at home.

Harrison's victory bumped their season record to 8-1 while Plainfield's defeat dropped theirs to 6-3.

October 27th's matchup might be decided on the ground as these two are both standouts in the run game. Harrison has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 172 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Plainfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 149.2 per game. It's looking like October 27th's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.

Harrison and Plainfield were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in August, but Harrison came up empty-handed after a 15-14 defeat. Will Harrison have more luck at home instead of on the road?
