While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Raiders who were credited with the win. Tyler Legacy got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Rockwall-Heath's two. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Rockwall-Heath came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Tyler Legacy are ranked 136th).

Rockwall-Heath's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2-1. As for Rockwall, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8-1.
