Preview: Front Range Baptist Falcons vs. Mile High Academy Mustangs
The Front Range Baptist Falcons will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Mile High Academy Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Front Range Baptist is out to stop a eight-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Front Range Baptist suffered a tough 48-27 defeat at the hands of Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian. While losing is never fun, Front Range Baptist can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian is ranked 54th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Katie Jaques, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played.
Mile High Academy won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They were the victim of a rough 68-46 defeat at the hands of Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian.
Front Range Baptist has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Mile High Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
Front Range Baptist took their victory against Mile High Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 37-16. Does Front Range Baptist have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mile High Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
