Baseball Game Preview: High Point Christian Academy Cougars vs. North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights

The High Point Christian Academy Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

High Point Christian Academy is headed out to face North Raleigh Christian Academy after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. High Point Christian Academy blew past Concord Academy 11-1 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

High Point Christian Academy got several good pitching performances, but HUNTER KELLEY was perhaps the best, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Meanwhile, everything went North Raleigh Christian Academy's way against Greenfield on Friday as North Raleigh Christian Academy made off with a 14-8 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for North Raleigh Christian Academy.

Jackson Rowlands was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rowlands was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (four).

In other batting news, North Raleigh Christian Academy let Banks Woody and Liam Ward run wild. Woody got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI, while Ward went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Woody has posted since back in March of 2024. Jackson Tysor was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

North Raleigh Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greenfield only posted a batting average of .115.
