Basketball Game Preview: Community School of Davidson Spartans vs. Mountain Island Charter Raptors

Community School of Davidson is 10-0 against Mountain Island Charter since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Community School of Davidson Spartans will host the Mountain Island Charter Raptors at 6:00 p.m. Community School of Davidson will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Community School of Davidson didn't have too much trouble with Pine Lake Prep as they won 44-27.

Regan Downey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 28 points. The game was her 12th in a row with at least ten points.

Meanwhile, Mountain Island Charter played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Lincoln Charter, falling 50-24. The Raptors haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Community School of Davidson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Mountain Island Charter, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Community School of Davidson strolled past Mountain Island Charter in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 53-36.
