Softball Game Preview: Altoona Railroaders vs. Ellsworth Panthers

For the second straight game, Altoona will face off against Ellsworth. The Railroaders will be playing at home against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Altoona has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Ellsworth will come in with four straight wins.

Altoona made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ellsworth, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Railroaders fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 13-11 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Railroaders have lost by exactly two runs.

For Ellsworth's part, Ava Whipple was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Huppert, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
