Baseball Recap: Clopton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mark Twain on Tuesday, Clopton came back down to earth. The Hawks lost 14-1 to the Wright City Wildcats on Thursday. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Clopton's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Wright City, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-9.

Coming up, Clopton is taking a road trip to face off against Bowling Green at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wright City, they will square off against Montgomery County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
