Volleyball Game Preview: Meadow Heights Panthers vs. Oran Eagles

The Meadow Heights Panthers will head out to challenge the Oran Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Meadow Heights is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Vincent just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 24-26, 25-13, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Oran didn't have quite enough to beat Sikeston on Wednesday and fell 3-2. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 25-20 in the first set.

Oran started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 20-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-6.

Oran's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Meadow Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.

Meadow Heights took their victory against Oran when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
